Lucky #27!

I'm 27 weeks!  I guess you could say this is my golden week or whatever.  I'm 27 years old and 27 weeks pregnant...  Did I mention 27 is my favorite number?  I'm sort of obsessed.  Yeah I had a feeling that this was going to be my year.  Let me just say it has been one of the best years of my life.   I was so happy to be pregnant (still am) and I couldn't have wished for a better year.  Crazy to think I will be another year older next month.  Wow!  Crazy how time flies.  Can't believe at 22 (when I got married) I said I wanted to have all my babies by 30.  Little did I know it would take 5.5 years for the first to get here.  Ha!  It's been a fun ride... Here's to lucky #27!

****The chair I'm sitting in... yep that's the one we picked up on the side of the road last Sunday.  You likey?****  (See inventory below if you are confused)

An Inventory

I was thinking as we were driving around Sunday night looking at people's trash just how much we have brought home from trash piles.  It's actually kinda funny.  But a great way to fill things up in our house.  Then I got to thinking about how little furniture we have actually bought for our house.  Crazy to think.  So I thought it would be fun to take an inventory of every room.  Maybe when I finish cleaning up (yes the "nesting" has taken over me) I'll take pictures so I won't forget the current state of the house.  So here goes:

Master Bedroom:
King size mattress- given to us by Markus' Aunt Nancy
King size headboard (Newly acquired)- Craig's List
Double Dresser- Craig's List
Armoir- bought @ Kornmeyer's going out of business sale
My nightstand- picked up on side of road (in our neighborhood!!)
Markus' nightstand- Incl. in my original bedroom set as kid
Markus' dresser- Daddy built for us as kids
Armchair in sitting area (newly acquired)- side of road in Mom's neighborhood- Sunday!

Dining Room:
Table- purchased from a lady I used to work with (set was 18 yrs old)
Chairs- given to be by my sis, Natalie

Living Room:
Sofa/ Loveseat- Mom gave to me
Mock Coffee Table- we bought from Pier 1
Zebra Rug- bought from PB
TV Console table- bought from PB when purchased TV
Bookshelf- bought from Pier 1
Mock Sofa Table- side of road in Mom's neighborhood
Secretary- Daddy built in 70s

Nursery:
Crib- Mom gave to me
Double Dresser- Boss gave to me
Nightstand- Cousin gave to me
Table- Coworker gave to me from side of road

Office-
My 2 glass desks- Given to me by old boss
My zebra chair- given to me by old boss
Markus' desk- bought from World Market
Markus desk chair- bought from Office Depot
Corner shelf- bought from Pier 1

Wow! I think those around us furnished our house instead of us! Crazy to think. But that does have me motivated to take pics. I think it would make a cool spread in Sweet Pea's scrapbook. And hilarious to look back on in the years to come.

I did tell Markus on Sunday night while trash huntin' that I hope we don't forget these times. He asked what I meant (I think) and I told him we've had a lot of fun on Sunday nights just driving around seeing what people throw away and just embarrassing him and throwing it in the back of the car. Like our new (to us) arm chair that I can't wait to recover. We could barely fit it in the car on Sunday night. As a matter of fact, we couldn't. It was literally a block or not even really around the corner from my mom's house so we drove with the gate open and up her driveway we went to try to maneuver the chair into the back of the SUV. Hilarious and I laughed so hard I could have peed on myself. Man those are the days, times, moments, memories. I freakin' love being poor dude! And I love the pride Markus has when I see something I like or want to pick up and how he circles around and around waiting for the cars to free up on the street and how he turns the lights off when we {finally} arrive at our destination and he makes me get out and put the seat down (if necessary) then open the back up and get everything prepped for him to make an exit out of the car to lower himself to such. Yes these are the days! I love my hubby!

Always My Sweet Pea

I have really enjoyed being pregnant.  You bloggers on this blog might not hear enough about it, but trust me I do.  I have flooded my "Momma Jenn" Blog with all things baby, pregnancy, nursery, etc. in an effort not to bore you here.   I just want to take a brief moment and say that my little sweet pea is getting so big.  I have loved almost every minute of being pregnant.  I have been so lucky and truly blessed to have such a great pregnancy.  Most of you know I have waited for this for years.  I must say it has been well worth the wait.  I just wish I was a nicer pregnant person.  That's about it.  But back to my Sweet Pea.  He is kicking a lot.  Markus has enjoyed getting closer to him through all is movements.  He is going to be such an amazing child I can already tell.  I've been agonizing (it feels like) over a name.  I just wanted it to be perfect in every way.  I'm not the type to see the child and instantly know the name.  I'm more of the planner type where the name is chosen/selected ahead of time.  We've gone through several different variations.  All of which I've loved for different reasons.  But we have decided on a name......drumroll.....
TREVOR CHRISTIAN WILSON
Isn't it perfect?  I have always liked Trevor and Christian is Markus' middle name.  I kept having a strong feeling little man should be named after his daddy and that is what we did.  I can't wait to meet him.  I just know he will fill this name out nicely.  We are so happy to finally have arrived at a name for him.  I know Markus probably is more than me.  hahaha.  He finally got to the point where he didn't care and was tired of talking about it.  I really bothered him with it every chance I got.  Poor Markus, he is such a trooper!  So there you have it.  But in my eyes, he will always be my Sweet Pea.  I love him so much and I haven't even seen his little face or touched his soft skin, but I know he will come to us just as Heavenly Father meant for him to.

We love you Trevor :)

Garage Sale Finds {of the day}

With this front of cold weather coming through, I knew I had to get out and go Garage Sale-ing. We started out around 8AM and this was what we landed on the 2nd stop!
All of this for $1.35!!!  I'm so very excited about the "vintage" Fisher Price School Desk.  We used to have one just like this growing up and it went bye bye when mom sold our house with all the freakin' toys!!!  This is exciting collecting things for little Sweet Pea's nursery.  My nieces and nephew will get good use out of this for the time being :)

The Gold Game {LSU vs. Miss State}

Our get up for the "Gold Game".  I understand why I planned on taking this football season off.  It was such a hot day!  I stayed in the RV most of the time.  The walk to the stadium was hard because the boys and their long legs were walking so much faster than my pleasantly plump self, WOW!  Once we got in the stadium I was saved by the lady sitting next to me who gave me a little paper fan thing to fan myself with.  Otherwise, I would not have been able to make it the whole game.   I'm just happy we won!  Geaux Tigers.  I am going to miss not going to every home game, but I know it will be for the best :)  At least I will get plenty done around the house!  I still have so much left to do.   Happy Football Season!

Peek A Boo

Just a sneak peek at what I've been up to the last week or so at our house.  I've been busy busy and Sweet Pea's nursery is coming together so nicely!
This is the wall where we will have a mural painted :)
The window will have brown & white drapes (one day).  Love my toy bucket I snagged from Target.  Thinking about picking up another.
We pulled the dresser and nightstand out to refinish but the will go on these walls
dresser & nightstand getting makeovers
Finished nightstand
Finished Double dresser/changing table

That's what it looks like today.  Still have one more coat of white for the stripe and then a brown stripe to paint in the middle of that one.  Can't wait to have the painting done so we can move on to other things!

Baby Blane's Blessing

My best friend Lea-Lea's little baby Blane was blessed today by his daddy, Craig. He gave the most beautiful and heartfelt blessing. I'm so glad I could be there to witness the Lord's hand in their family. What an awesome day at church it was. Baby Blane never let out a cry... he looked so sweet in his daddy's arms.

Love this family like they were my own.  Can't wait for our little guys to be play buddies.  :)  Love you Lea-Lea and your boys (you too Craig)!
