Getting Bigger!

Here is my baby bump at 21 weeks!  Some say I'm small, but I beg to differ.  Even though I'm wearing my normal clothes here, it's probably the few I can still wear.  Maternity shirts are upon me now.  I'm working toward getting some pants of some sort that will be more comfortable.  Overall it's been interesting to see how my body has slowly taken it's shape into what it is today.  I have started to embrace the extra growth of the bump over the past 2 weeks.  It's really started to poke it's little head out and show that yes I really am pregnant!  I have enjoyed my pregnancy up to this point.  I can't believe I'm a little over half way there.  Let the hard part begin!  I'm having a hard time transitioning off my stomach to sleep at night.  Hopefully it will get a little better and I'll get over it and get some sleep while I still can!  haha!  I'm so excited for our little man to come into this world.  We've been tremendously blessed with such a great pregnancy and I am so happy I'm still able to function.  I pray that can continue until our little man gets here.  Just wanted to thank our friends and family for their love and support through everything.  Yall have been so great!  We love you!

Drumroll Please....

It's a Boy!

I am super excited for the news of a boy!  I knew I would be happy either way, but there was certainly a lot to think about with it being my Grandpa's Bday today and knowing that this would be the first Wilson Grandchild to carry on the family name of "Wilson".  That's pretty big and special day for us.  Markus was a bit disappointed he couldn't have his girl first, but I know he will be happy once the shock wears off.  So there you have it folks...

On Monday August 16th we find out if it's a boy or a girl!  I'm excited to get the news on my Grandpa's Bday!  He just loved his great-grandkids so much.  I know he was loving on mine in heaven before he/she came into my belly.  I can't wait to see the growth of this baby.  I feel huge and the growing has only begun!

Markus goes fishing!

I was kinda nervous for Markus to go fishing yesterday..  He literally got off work at 2 AM then headed home to get his fishing stuff ready to be out the door at 3:15 or so.  I thought he was crazy for not going to bed.  I could not have done it.  They went to Lake Pontchartrain and Markus said it was really rough.  They didn't start catching stuff until around 11:30AM or so.  They got out there at 6:30 or so.  Crazy!  They rain into a bit of rain and had to get out of the water.  But here's the stats: Markus caught 3 fish (to bring home)/ Ben caught 2 fish (to bring home).  They said they caught lots of catfish but it's not something you would eat.  So I took his word for it.

Markus' friend Ben didn't want to clean the fish, so Markus got to bring all 5 home.  I'm excited to try them!  Yipee!

My Reality = Hormones!

I'm so over the hormones, just for the record.  They have been eating me alive.  I don't know who this crazy woman is anymore.  Markus looks at me like I'm nuts, amongst telling me not to talk to him that way and to learn how to talk to him, co-workers give me funny looks and I even pissed a guy off today on the phone.  I can't get a break!  And Markus has absolutely no sympathy when it comes to this "I'm pregnant" excuse.  It practically doesn't exist in his world.  Oh but if I mention "he" when referring to the being growing inside of me.... oh yeah he gets all upset and says I'm hurting "her" feelings.  Right, I'm pregnant!  But whatever I guess it's all something we have to go through in order to be "pregnant" right?  yeah I'm just saying...

It's August!

Holy no way!  It seriously snuck up on us out of nowhere.  Before you know it I will find out what I'm having and Markus will be in school, just like that!  Where has the summer gone?  Crazy.  I'm ready for some cooler weather.  I've been dying lately driving the no air conditioned car.  Markus has been nice enough to bring me the "good" car after he finishes with school.  But he is done for the summer semester and I get the car until he goes back.  I'm praying it will be a little cooler by then so I don't feel like I have to pass out when I get home.  Looks like we will be working towards a Spring graduation.  Yeah just put two and two together and say I don't want to hear about it.  Thank you!  On another note, Football Season is right around the corner.  I must say I will probably miss going out there weekly, but I'm also relieved at the same point because I just don't think I will have the energy to do it this year.  It will be fun once we have a little one to chase around there.  I hope to see Esther and Pete out there at that point.  Maybe the boys can go to the game and the girls can go home to play.  That would be fun.  Other than that, that's about all we've got going on this month.  Of course we have the usual getting ready for Sweet Pea, but I won't bore you with that on this blog.  So if you are interested in the progress of the nursery, check out "Momma Jenn-Jenn Blog" for the details.  Bring it on Fall we are so ready for you!
