"Beautiful Place"

My favorite pic probably from the whole trip. Statues of Joseph and Hyrum Smith looking at the front of the Nauvoo Temple
This is the Mississippi River at the end of the Trail of Hope (trail that the Saints took out of Nauvoo to walk across the frozen Miss River) yes that is snow and it's partly frozen
Another pic of the Mississippi River with the snow, ice and yes Sunshine
Front of the Nauvoo Temple. Isn't this beautiful

I didn't want to come back from this trip. There was so much I still wanted to do there. I wished Markus could have been there with me. It was amazing. I feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to go and at such a gorgeous time of year up there. I learned so much. Like the meaning of Nauvoo is "beautiful place". It describes it perfectly. I just don't have a lot of words right now for what this trip did for me. I can only imagine how the youth feel.

A Vacation

Well I didn't think I would be so ready for a vacation and not ready at the same time, but nonetheless I'm leaving. Leaving Baton Rouge, my husband and my dog for 5 days. I'm going to Nauvoo. I hope it's all that and more. Goodness knows I need it. I need something to boost me up and make me feel like a person again. I forgot what that feels like.

He is just as sweet as can be. He burped and threw up for his Auntie Jenn. I think he likes me. I didn't bring my camera, but I will be getting pics soon I'm sure.
