Lydia & Kathryn

I was going through some old pics in my computer and just wanted to show off my 2 little nieces that I love to pieces.  They are so stinkin' cute and together, the two of them really remind me of my twin sisters.  They are so much fun.

6 years and counting...

For some reason I thought the 16th was yesterday on Father's Day, but it's not.  I'm glad I didn't miss this post.  Markus and I have been together for 6 years, married for almost 3 years.  I was looking at some old pictures and had to post this one. (Stupid Blogger will not post my pic)  I'll try again later.

I'm so grateful for Markus and for his companionship.  He's so patient with me and helps me to be a better Jenn.  We work so well together being total opposites, when I fall short he can pick up the slack and vice versa.  He makes me laugh and we have the best time together.

I can't believe it's been this long.  I'm looking forward to sharing forever with him.  I love you Markus!

An Update

So for those of you who care about my obsession, Pottery Barn, I wanted to let you know when the GRAND OPENING is going to be.  We went to the mall yesterday and they actually have a date on the doors.  June 28, 2008. :)  Which just so happens to be my MIL's Bday.  So lucky her, she'll probably get something from there, than whatever I was originally thinking.

A Childhood Adventure

Markus and I went to the library today.  I begged him to go last week because I wanted to get a Nicholas Sparks novel and they were all checked out.  He offered to go again tonight after dinner and I jumped on it.  It isn't really my favorite place to go because it reminds me a lot of the school days, but today it took me back.  Back to the days where that was like the only place seems like mom would approve of us going.  And when we would meet our friends up there just to hang out and fake doing homework.  And I would go to use the internet because we never had a computer (til I was a junior in high school) and I would print out quotes because I was obsessed with collecting them.  That's where I would get the quotes I used to have on my blog... from the quote binder I made back in high school.  Oh those were the days, yes they were.

O, I almost forgot to mention the books I got.  The Wedding & Message In a Bottle both by: Nicholas Sparks

Sarah's 21!

Sarah (Markus' sister) turned 21 on Friday.  Her mom & dad threw her a party today.  Markus was wondering when your parents stop throwing parties for you.  Haha!  I told him I didn't know.  I guess he thought his parents shouldn't be throwing his sister a party.  I mean who's too old for parties?? right?  Well I don't know, but I just simply told him that he's not the "BABY" of the family and things are always different for them.  My sister Naomi of course wouldn't agree, but as the oldest it's sooo... true.  I did take some cute shots there.

We got her some fleur de lis earrings and a necklace for her birthday.  Between her mom and her I'm not sure who likes fleur de lis more.  Anyways they were Madison Avery jewelry designs.  I really like her fleur de lis designs.  I think I'm going to go and get me some.  Markus was so ready to leave that this is how he looked at the end of the party.  We got in the car and he was like I wanted that to be over a long time ago.  Boys are too funny.  Especially him with his sister.

I have an obsession...

I really like the music I hear on other friends blogs (Courtney, Jess, Karlee) to name a few, but I just can't quit my Michael Buble.  There is something about his music that just speaks to me.  I never want to turn it off.  Ever.  At work I will bring my blog up and just listen to it all day long.  I will say I keep a Colbie Caillat CD in my car just to listen to something different, but that CD hasn't left my car.  Haha!  I just can't get enough.  So for those of you that wish the music would be different... I'm really sorry... that's why I put where my music is... the play that never gets old.  Markus hates when I get on these new music ventures because I won't listen to anything else... literally. (just ask him)  Only this one has lasted years instead of just months.

Just thought I would mention that.

Hard to believe it's June... AGAIN

Four years ago this month I lost my daddy.  He was my best friend in the whole world other than Markus.  It was like nothing I'd ever experienced before.  I don't know how else to describe it other than life-changing.  I remember that summer like it was yesterday.  I went to a wedding like every weekend in August that year and I cried harder during the father/daughter dances than I did at my own daddy's funeral.

I don't know if you remember that Erica, but your wedding was probably the toughest for me to go to.  I remember your daddy crying and it just made me so happy for you and sad for me all in the same emotion.  I loved your wedding though.  Ahhh... loved it.

So I might have sad posts this month (if I can even get it out) and that is the reasoning for it.  It's just that time of year...daddy's anniversary and FATHER'S DAY, yes all wrapped up into one month.  Gotta love it!
