Great weekend of FOOTBALL

As if USC losing wasn't exciting enough, umm let's start with the Florida loss.  What?  Ole Miss beat Florida.  Ouch, Oh but that wasn't the end of it, BAMA feels the need to whip UGA.  Poor UGA and to think we were rooting for them too.  It was just not going to happen for them tonight.  So with the win against Miss State, where does that leave us?? I hope we are like #2.  Sad I missed the game tonight.  We were in Mandeville as Markus finally got to play the State Tennis Tourney he thought they would win.  Um no, that didn't happen and we now have to wait a month for another home game :(  I know feel sorry for me, right??  October will be a tough month for the tigers, but for right now I'll take the win.  Geaux Tigers!  I'm getting better at all this football stuff.  It's exciting to me, weird.

Visit to the Farmer's Market

Markus and I started our morning out with a visit to the local Farmer's Market downtown.  There we had breakfast and did a little shopping.  We have really come to love going there and seeing all the cool booths there (we never really went for the produce, sad).  I found a cool LSU booth where to guy did original art and it was licensed too.  That was nice to see.  Bought a couple of things there.  We also stopped by this t-shirt booth where they always have the coolest t-shirts.  Once again we didn't bring cash, so if they didn't except credit cards, we couldn't get anything.  Well I happened to see they have a website.  So check out Storyville where you can find awesome t-shirts.  K & B is on the top of my list.  I can't believe they made that shirt!!!!  Long story, but that is for another post.  Just wanted to share my cool findings.  The best part is they have a store here in BR.  Who woulda thought??  :)

Tag Your It!

Thanks to Courtney, here goes the tag.  I actually like this one... it makes you think.

I am
: a good friend.
I think: faster than I can talk.  It's kinda embarrassing.
I know: how to cook, Markus said yesterday better than anyone we know.  :)
I want: a baby.
I have: a good husband.
I dislike: having only 1 car.
I miss: daddy, terribly.
I fear: Obama will be elected president.
I feel: very blessed to have my life and live here now.
I hear: birds chirping outside.
I smell: nothing.  I'm all congested.
I crave: to be heard and to be right.
I cry: when I daydream and get to thinkin about things.
I usually: put make-up on, even though Markus thinks I shouldn't.  What does he know?
I search: for cheap deals almost everywhere I go.
I wonder: if I'll ever go to college.
I regret: not saving more money when I had 2 jobs.
I wish: my sister's were close to me.
I love: my husband more and more everyday.
I care: about the way things look to my eyes.
I always: work.  I get that honest from both my parents.
I worry: all the time about some of the silliest things.
I am not: worth anything when I'm sick, in pain or have had no sleep.
I remember: it like it was yesterday... as my daddy would always say.
I believe: the Lord loves me and has blessed me more than I realize.
I sing: when I'm happy and sad.
I don't always: believe in myself.
I argue: more than I should.  I'm defensive by nature.  Sad but true.
I write: on this blog cause it's fun and I enjoy it.
I win: cause I got married in the temple, FIRST!  I know it's childish, but I'm very happy & proud of it.
I lose: hair, everyday
I listen: with my mouth open.  It's a bad habit.
I don't understand: how some people think universal healthcare is better.
I can usually be found: doing something to or with my house.
I need: to color my hair.  It's so bland.
I forget: everything, just ask Markus for confirmation.
I am happy: it's Saturday!!!

I tag Lea-Lea, Naomi, & Jess

The USC Game

Anybody see it??  Nothing better than them losing.  It was worth staying up past 11:30pm to witness Oregon State's victory.  Now if LSU can just move on up because of their loss that would be great.  :)  Geaux Tigers!

Markus joined the Club

$325 later Markus has now joined the IPhone club. You might know they would be out of the cheaper one. He of course says, "I have no problem with the 16G". I told him, do you hear yourself saying you have no problem spending more money?? haha! He deserves it though. He is a great example of patience. I told him as we were walking out to go get a case for the thing that if he broke this phone, we are getting a land lines and are quitting cell phones! (I'd like to see that day come, NOT!) Course that comes with good reason, the last phone we got (May) for him was broken a week later. BAM! (as Emeril would say) and it was gone. I was so annoyed. So we will see. The guy selling us the phone told me he wouldn't be surprised that if in 2 or 3 months if I didn't want one. I told him in May I got my first Camera/flip phone. He was stunned. I'm what you would call out of the loop when it deals with cell phones.

Markus you were very patient and right cause you knew they would come out with cheaper ones. You deserve it, finally! I love you!

Auntie Jenn Love

Over the past few days I got to spend time with my 2 nieces, Kathryn & Lydia.

I babysat Kathryn for my sister on her anniversary. We had a ball playing with Sonic kid meal toys, reading books, and playing with Bogey. When it was time for her to leave I took her hand to walk her outside to her parent's car. As soon as we reached the door, she started pulling me back with all her might. I just laughed and was like it's time to go to your house. It was then that Omi said, "that should make you feel good that she doesn't want to leave your house". I thought that was sweet. She loves her Auntie Jenn.

Yesterday I went to church at 11:30a cause we didn't want to get out of bed. There I saw Steph & Lydia in the hall. I bent down and opened my arms for Lydia to come running into them as she said Auntie Denn (for Jenn). It was so cute. I picked her up and I couldn't quite understand what she was saying and she just kept repeating it, so I listened a little closer. She was saying, "I mi you (miss)". Once again so sweet. Just melts your heart.

I love those two little girls to death. They are just so sweet and full of life. What a joy I have to be their Auntie. I love you Lyida & Kathryn!

Tigers Win!

I went to Cherie and Jesse's Luau during the game.  It was beautiful and I am so excited for their family.  Even though I didn't get to watch the whole game on tv, the parts I did see looked like a nail biter. Thank goodness for TIVO I can watch it today.  I can't believe we finally broke the 10 year curse.  That is such an exciting day for Tiger fans and the coach and players too, I'm sure.  Now if we can just get Florida under our belt, I think we can handle Georgia and Bama.  Geaux Tigers!
