Another Milestone {as of Christmas Weekend}

I  happened to be looking at our odometer yesterday while getting ready to go to my SIL's house.  It read 99,995 miles.  I decided to clock our trip to see how many miles it took from our house to hers.  Our car reached 100K miles while making the drive.  I cannot believe we have put over 55K miles on this SUV in almost 3 years.  That is hard to believe.  I'm basically just needing to knock on wood right now as we are down to 1 car cause the old Bonneville is on its last life line according to Markus.  He refuses to drive the car.  Not sure how the car instantly go worse when HE started driving it (when he got out of LSU), BUT it's worse and apparently not drive-able.  If there could be a better/worse time for car issues it would be now.  Good because I will be on Maternity leave (one day) and bad because I'm not sure if this car is repairable  or if we will be forced to get another.  Guess we'll have to see what is in store for us.  Ahhhh yes don't we all just love cars!

**P.S. Least it's my dream ride now with a carseat in the back :)))))insert smiley face :)))))))

We Made it through Christmas!

Here are some of the pics we took on Markus' Bday when he turned 30 and I made 36 weeks of pregnancy!
The best smile Markus will ever give for the camera!
The one we sent out in the few Christmas cards that were mailed
I had to have one like this!  So magical even though Markus was kicking and screaming (not literally) and calling it DUMB!

Hard to believe Christmas has now come and gone.  Still no sign of Trevor making his Grand Entrance into this world.  I was happy to enjoy Christmas Eve with my hunny and his family and Christmas Day with my family and his again.  It will be our last Christmas as just he two of us and Trevor's official "1st" Christmas in 2011.  I was so worried I would go in to labor and not be able to join in the festive celebrations.  But the good Lord decided it wasn't time yet.  I'm anxiously awaiting what this week holds as I'm now officially full term (38 weeks on Christmas Eve) and still could go any day.  Will keep you informed if we have a new arrival to our house.  Looking forward to meeting my little Sweet Pea face to face.  It's gonna be great!

On My List

Is it sad that I want a diaper bag for Christmas?  Haha!  It was one of those things that I didn't get from my shower, that I seriously cannot live without.  I've been eyeing this one for a while and this one
but I've made up my mind to go with the Black/Silver one for right now.  It gets perfect reviews where the green one doesn't have as great of reviews.  I really hope I can get this thing in my house before baby comes, but I guess if nothing else I won't have to go anywhere with baby for a little bit (other than the Dr.) so I might not "need" it right away.  Least that is what I'm telling myself.  I'm getting really excited for Christmas and even more so to see when Baby Trevor will get here.  Won't be long now!  3 weeks to go (or less)!

Look Who's 30!!!!

I love this man more and more as time goes on.  Hard to believe he is 30!  We met when he was 21.  My how time flies.  So in honor of my Birthday boy, here are 30 reasons why Markus is so great and why I love my man (in no particular order):

  1. He loves me even at my worst
  2. He's a hardworker
  3. He likes school :)
  4. He is so into this baby!
  5. We are opposites and most times I love it!
  6. He is smart, or is it intelligent?
  7. He calls me down when I need it,  ok even when I don't...
  8. He loves his Momma!
  9. He is the cutest to me in the morning, when he is sleeping ;)
  10. He drives like an old man... makes for interesting drives!
  11. So conservative
  12. He can be outspoken when he needs to be
  13. I love how observant he is with anything
  14. He lets me do anything I want to his hair
  15. Love his blue eyes, could stare into them all day long... esp when he has this smirk on his face
  16. His butt is almost his best feature, bet you can't guess my favorite???
  17. He supports me in most anything I want to do as long as he doesn't have to do it with me (i.e. paint the nursery)
  18. He likes to dress up
  19. He prays with me
  20. Laid back (should be his middle name)
  21. He calls me just to say "hey" and check in.  Hilarious!
  22. He looks in the mirror more than me, love it!
  23. He's always tired... don't ever assume otherwise or you will be wrong even if he slept for 12 hrs.
  24. Kids love him so I know ours will too!
  25. He's very protective over me
  26. He does such a great job of being Mr. Fix-It (always tries)
  27. He can just about get along with anyone... what a gift!
  28. He makes really good sandwiches, he just won't let me in on his secret cause he'll be the official "sandwich-maker" in the house.
  29. He is a good decision maker, esp when I'm indecisive... then he decides I need to make the decision!
  30. Ok fine, his best feature is his cute, fat little toes of which I hope my son will have the same...
Happy Birthday Markus!  I love you forever!  Can't wait til we can meet our son and see what this parenthood thing is all about.  I just know he'll the a perfect combination of us both.  Good from you, bad from me :)

Project Nursery: Just for fun

Project Nursery: Gallery

So just for fun, I decided to upload some pics of Trevor's Nursery to one of my favorite inspiration sites. Check it out! I think I need to upload better pics. Nighttime is not the time to take pics of a nursery when it's not bright and cheery outside. It's been fun to create such a fun space for my little sweet pea. Looking forward to meeting him soon!

The Latest Trash Pickup Find

And it's all Markus' fault!  No really it is, and he wasn't even with me :)  You see I had to drop him off at Jared's house so they could go HT and that put me going a different way to church last night.  Well I was annoyed at the way I had to go, but then I spotted this cute little chalkboard!!!  I happened to be on the phone with my MIL and said OMG I see a little chalkboard on the side of the road just like the one I passed up at IKEA for Trevor.  I told her I'm going back to get it since I didn't have Markus with me.  I'm so glad I did.  There was nothing wrong with it, other than permanent marker on the dry erase side.  I should have no problem refinishing that part.  I'm so excited!!  More so for my nieces and nephews to play with it til Trevor can.  But how fun is this?  I freakin' love other people's trash!
