I was blog hopping the other night and came across Delightful Dots website. I'm always looking for a cool fun design to change to. Check it out. I put a link on the left hand part of my blog under blog designs. Just thought I'd share.

I really can't say anything about the game so I'll leave this post at that.

Great Deal!

I went to Sears to look at my sewing machine in person. It would make it seem more real you know like OK I CAN ACTUALLY DO THIS. It was smaller than I thought. And I just had this great idea that I would use the secretary that my Uncle Brent is giving me and hide it in there with all the bells and whistles that go along with it. But anyway back to my good deal. In my lost state of being in Sears and not knowing where a dang this was, I started browsing the home stuff. Came across the shelves just chilling on the floor. Didn't think anything of them until I saw a pink sticker on them. I figured they had to be on clearance but didn't know for sure being that I don't shop at Sears. So being the curious one I am, I picked it up. Well you know how they say the rest is history, at $6 and some change I had already grabbed 2 and was looking for the 3rd. I was just in Target earlier debating on whether I would buy theirs on sale that didn't even look half this good. I of course and so happy with them. I think I might even go back today and get the set of 3 (12", 18" & 24") for $9. I mean you just can't beat it! Here is my cutesy display :)

My Stupid Idea

Like a dummy I went in to Pier 1 yesterday. Luckily it was on my lunch break, otherwise I would have camped out in the store. That is by far my favorite store around Christmas. I love everything I see. This year will be no exception. Some years I hope they won't have anything I like just to make myself feel better. But oh well. So here are a few of the things I really want. Of course they don't have everything on the Internet, but these were the things I can't get out of my head. Rattan Reindeer

I love these wreaths. Don't care if they are made out of cheap plastic balls, I couldn't make it look this good... so I want it ($60) Insane!

I'm grabbing the red ornaments this year for the tree. It's been a few years so it's about time. How cute are these? I really want the Santa, Christmas Tree (w/polka dots) and Santa's boot. I'm going to attempt the white ball of mini ball thingys. They had a red one too, but for $2.95 I could probably make 10 for that.

Well that's the Christmas preview at Pier 1. I'm really tempted to go to Red Door Interiors, but I'm not trying to depress myself here. Maybe another day...IN DECEMBER!

Wordless Wednesday

Bday Wish/Want

I wanted one last year, but not really sure what happened. So it's on the list again this year. Only it seems a little more real this time because I actually have one picked out and projects waiting too. I picked out this Kenmore 90 stitch, drop in bobbin, built in button hole one. It was rated very high on Consumer Reports (my mom is obsessed with CR) and it got 4.5 stars out of 5. Not bad. I've heard good things about them too, so I'm looking to getting to work. Finally I won't have to ask my mom to do things for me :)

A Good Man

There are times in a marriage that prove you have a good spouse. That was last night for me. Yet another reason why I love my man. My back has been killing me. I felt some relief as I guzzled down the gallon of cranberry juice but it reared it's ugly face again. I was just dying last night. Not that I was in the worse pain ever, but more so like dude I'm way too young for this. I just laid in bed (feeling sorry for myself, Blah!) and just cried because my back hurt and has been for 2 months now and will continue until I get my insurance in December. Sux! And how in the hell am I going to carry a child in my old body. Ah yes another reason I should have had my first child when I was 25. Oh well. On to my good man. So in my state of feeling sorry for myself, my wonderful man gets out the icy hot rubs it on my back and makes me take 2 Aleve to ease the pain. He made sure I was comfortable until I fell asleep. I am so lucky to have such an awesome hubby.

On Cloud Nine

Well I'll be hopping on the bandwagon a day late. Oh well. It's here NaBloPoMo which stands for National Blog Posting Month (right?). Anyways you create a post everyday of the month. I promise to make mine up later on in the month. Moving on to why I title this post Cloud 9. Got a call from my Uncle Brent yesterday. Not too unusual. I was at church so Markus answered it for me. So when I got home he told me to call him. I thought he was going to tell me he would finish the sheetrock in our Masterbath soon. Ha! Even better... He told me he would give me a piece of furniture he promised me 5 years ago! :))))) That was very exciting for me. My daddy built the furniture for my grandparents over 35 years ago and he thought I would like to have it and would take care of it and appreciate it. Ahh! I'm excited he remembered because I wasn't really sure how to ask for it since they just moved back to Louisiana. There are 2 pieces to the set. I get one of them and he told me when they aren't using the other that he would give it to me as well. I'm sooooo excited I can't even begin to start somewhere with this. My dad and Uncle Brent are/was a great carpenter and their dad, my Grandpa, even better. My Uncle Brent helped build these 2 pieces with my dad and Uncle Brent got them when my grandparents moved out of their old house. So they are very special to our family. It means even more to me now that both Daddy and Grandpa are gone. I'm just so happy that Uncle Brent is giving something like this to me. It was such a happy day yesterday. The secretary will move in on Saturday. Can't wait to get the other matching piece one day. :)
