Busted!

On Wednesday I had a few errands to run.  One of which included going to Erika's to have Trevor's pictures taken.  See them HERE!  So I was driving around her neighborhood for what seemed like forever.  I vaguely remembered her street and basically just did circles around her house.  Next thing I know, I take a left hand turn to try and get back on track to find her house and I see a Sheriff Deputy.  He was just chilling at the 4-way stop.  I knew something was up.  I could just feel it.  I was about to get a ticket.  And just as I thought he pulled a U-y and came after me.  Lovely!  In the middle of the neighborhood.  Talk about embarrassed.  Of course Trevor slept all the way through it.  Haha!  Bet you can't guess what I was ticketed for???  An inspection sticker!  Want to know when it EXPIRED?  March of 2009.  Yes that is correct it's almost 2 years overdue.  Sad, but true.  It was actually quite funny though when the deputy came to my window.  He asked me if I know why he pulled me over and I was just quiet.  I knew why, I just needed in that moment to play dumb.  I mean sir, isn't it obvious?  He then asked me if there was a reason we had not gotten that taken care of.  Um sir, I said... Do you see that crack across my windshield?  Yeah it's right in my line of sight and no one will give me a new sticker until we REPLACE the windshield.  Yeah that is why!  He said ok and walked away to write the ticket up.  I think the most amusing part of it all was when he told me about the court date and blah blah blah.  I had to ask... Do people actually show up to court for an inspection sticker ticket???  He didn't know what to say and started with the crazy line about just call the number and they might this and that.  I was like ok thank you.  Whatever dude!  He even told me that it wouldn't go on my record as a non-moving violation... yeah cause that makes it soo much better!

** I think he spotted me in my state of being lost and tracked me down.  If only I could have found Erika's house a split second sooner.  No then he would be in her driveway and still giving me a ticket.  I guess I couldn't avoid this one.  Yes Markus' luck has officially transferred to me.  See he is the one who gets these kinds of tickets (NON-moving violations).  He has had 2 of these since I have known him (at least).  I'm more so known for getting the speeding/redlight tickets.  Haha!
